Security deposit
*** IMPORTANT *** In addition to the background check process, you will be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver. We suggest you buy the damage waiver as this protects you in case you cause accidental damage during a booking, but the choice is totally yours. The email or text messages to complete this step will come from the same vendor that conducts the background checks, it's name is SuperHog. They will also be the company who collects either the damage waiver or security deposit. You'll have a choice of two options. Feel free to choose the one that best suits you. Option 1 - A refundable deposit of $750 will be collected 14 days prior to your stay and released 7 days after your stay ends and the home is reviewed for damages, theft, etc. The vendor does collect a 3% processing fee for this option, but the $750 will be returned to the guest per the damage agreement. Option 2 - A non-refundable damage waiver of $75 can be paid upfront at the time of booking. This option prevents any accidental damage claims and protects the guest for up to $750 of accidental damage. It does NOT protect the guest from excessive damage beyond the $750, intentional damage or theft. We understand families travel with small children and at times a broken plate or light can happen so this options gives you some flexibility during your stay that you won't have to worry about those smaller things that come up during your trip.
